Key Features

Rapid Tube Launch & Setup

The original Switchblade is designed to be launched from a simple tube that can be set up in just a few minutes by a single operator. This rapid launch capability allows small units to react quickly to emerging targets without needing supporting launch infrastructure.

Lightweight & Portable

At roughly 5 lb, the system is small enough for dismounted infantry to carry alongside their equipment. Its portability reduces soldier load while giving them direct-fire capability without heavy weapons systems.

Lightweight & Portable Integrated EO/IR Sensor

Switchblade incorporates a high-resolution electro-optical/infrared sensor that provides real-time video to the operator during flight. This imaging capability lets users confirm target identity before engaging, increasing accuracy and reducing unintended effects.

Loiter & Engage

With approximately 10–15 minutes of loiter time, the munition can fly to a target area, search for threats, and hold before attack. This loiters capability gives teams time to refine target data or abort if the situation changes.

User-Friendly Control Interface

Operators use a simple tablet or dedicated controller to plan missions, fly the system, and execute engagements. The intuitive interface reduces training burden and speeds up mission execution under stress.
