Switchblade® 400

The Lightweight Tank Destroyer

Man-Portable Precision Anti-Armor Strike

Delivering force protection at the tactical edge, Switchblade 400 can destroy moving tanks and heavy armor at standoff distances of up to 65 km. Its advanced EO/IR sensors, aided target recognition, and advanced edge computing enable Switchblade 400 to autonomously detect and classify targets day or night, optimizing its 35-minute endurance. Deployable by a single soldier in less than five minutes, it can be readily integrated with modern tactical networks such as ATAK and Nett Warrior for intuitive control.

Key Features

Rapid Tube Launch & Deployment

Switchblade 400 comes in a rocket-assisted tube launch configuration that can be prepped and fired in under five minutes by a single operator. This rapid setup keeps maneuver elements agile and reduces the time between target identification and engagement.

Medium-Range Precision Engagement

With an operational envelope out to approximately 65 km and about 35 minutes of flight time, Switchblade 400 gives small units the ability to acquire and engage armored targets at standoff distances. It offers a balance of endurance and reaches that bridges short-range loitering effects and larger strike assets.

Advanced EO/IR Targeting

A pan-tilt guided electro-optical and infrared sensor suite provides day/night target identification and tracking, improving confidence before engagement. Combined with hybrid Aided Target Recognition and onboard processing, this helps accelerate the detect-decide-engage sequence with greater accuracy.

Modular Open Systems Architecture

Built on an open architecture with modern compute and system design, Switchblade 400 supports future upgrades to radios, sensors, and mission modules without extensive redesign. This flexibility extends lifecycle utility and interoperability with evolving battlefield networks.

Contested Environment Resilience

Designed for use in GPS-challenged or contested electromagnetic environments, the platform’s advanced processing and secure communications help maintain targeting and control even with degraded signals.
