MONROVIA, Calif., July 9, 2018 – AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV) announced that on April 10, 2018 the United States Army selected the Company and six other suppliers for small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) sustainment under a five-year Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The seven awardees will compete for LRRS and MRM UAS, Tactical Open Architecture Controller system and spare and repair parts procurement task orders over the duration of the contract.The maximum value of the contract is $248 million over five years.

MONROVIA, Calif., July 3, 2018 – AeroVironment, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVAV), a leader in unmanned aircraft systems and tactical missile systems, today announced that on June 29, 2018 it completed the previously announced divestiture of its Efficient Energy Systems (EES) business to Webasto Group. The purchaser paid the Company $32 million in cash at closing, which excludes a holdback amount of $6.5 million, and remains subject to certain post-closing adjustments, and the purchaser assumed certain liabilities. The holdback amount will be payable to the company upon the receipt of certain approvals and consents from certain EES business customers. The company expects proceeds from the divestiture to be accretive to U.S. GAAP earnings in the first fiscal quarter of 2019.

Automotive system supplier strengthens global electric charging footprint with additional competence

Stockdorf/Munich (Ger.) / Monrovia, Calif., June 4, 2018 – Webasto Group, one of the 100 leading suppliers to the automotive industry worldwide, and AeroVironment (NASDAQ: AVAV), a leader in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) for both defense and commercial applications and tactical missile systems (TMS), announced Webasto’s agreement to acquire AeroVironment’s Efficient Energy Systems (EES) business segment for $35 million, subject to customary post-closing adjustments and indemnification agreements. Webasto will retain all existing EES employees, while strengthening its longterm E-mobility strategy.

(NASDAQ: AVAV), a global leader in unmanned aircraft systems for both military and commercial applications, today announced the receipt of contract awards in April 2018 from the United States Army for procurement of the company’s Switchblade® Lethal Miniature Aerial Missile System (LMAMS) and Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) that bring the total value of Switchblade awards to $111,054,202 since August 2017. The contract awards were funded through Urgent Need Statements and include the first Switchblade order from the United States Marine Corps.The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal will manage the contracts, for which $78,095,737 has been funded.
