Job Duties & Responsibilities
- This is an inventory and accountability-specific position that requires great attention to detail and the desire to move ahead in a fast-paced environment.
- Applicants must also be proficient with database systems and be prepared to fill delivery orders for international customers.
- Primary responsibility is to control and track Government Property (GP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) from receipt thru storage to issue.
- Inventory/receive materials and match/account for all equipment on government furnished paperwork.
- Ensure that all GP is stored and accounted for according to Department of Defense regulations.
- Produce DD 1149s to support the transportation of Department of Defense equipment.
- Perform and record cycle counts. Enter the results of cycle counts into multiple databases.
- Endeavor to identify obsolete GP in the GP Storage Area.
- Coordinate GP and GFE disposition thru DCMA utilizing PCARRS.
- Be prepared to fill GP requests from other employees as well as customers located throughout the world.
- Must possess the ability to extract information/data from a GF equipment database in response to internal representative inquiries.
- Enforce Government Property Storage Area security regulations.
Required Qualifications & Background
- A high school education or equivalent is required.
- A working knowledge of DFAR and FAR is strongly recommended.
- A minimum of three to five years of experience with regards to handling GP and GFE.
- Must have good basic math skills, write legibly and strict attention to detail.
- Must have excellent computer skills with the ability to learn new programs, software and databases.
- Take responsibility for an assigned portion of the daily output of the GP storage area in support of repairs, GP accountability and Group effectiveness.
- Must be able to lift and handle heavy items safely. (50 lb)
- Basic knowledge of shipping and receiving is recommended.
- An understanding of DoD acquisitions programs such as ULLS-G/A is a plus.
- Knowledge of safe material handling practices and the safe handling of electro-static sensitive components.
